Breakthrough in Live-Line Cleaning of High-Voltage Insulators! MYUAV Drones Achieve Success in Practical Application

Recently, an innovative insulator cleaning operation was successfully completed on a 220kV high-voltage power line. This operation utilized the MYUAV M400X dual-tethered cleaning drone system, successfully addressing the challenges of equipment maintenance in a high-voltage, complex electromagnetic environment.

Insulators, exposed to the elements for extended periods, are prone to accumulating dust and dirt, affecting power grid safety. Traditional manual cleaning requires power outages, resulting in low efficiency, high risk, and extremely high economic costs. In this operation, the M400X drone demonstrated its unique advantages: stable flight operation in the complex electromagnetic environment surrounding high-voltage lines; continuous water supply from the ground and power supply via the tethered system enabled long-term, large-area continuous cleaning operations; and its water jet possesses a maximum impact force of 160 bar, effectively removing stubborn dirt from the insulator surface.
