Following the earthquake in Wushi County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, the Corps of the Armed Police Corps continued to fight on the front line to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. On the evening of January 24, in the temporary settlement of the fourth Regiment of the First Division of the Corps, "tent village", there was such a "light" particularly eye-catching, and a tethered drone that implemented lighting operations lit up the night sky of the settlement point and warmed the hearts of the people in the disaster area.

This tethered UAV is provided by the officers and soldiers of the second detachment of the Corps involved in earthquake relief. Different from traditional battery-powered UAVs, this type of UAVs uses composite tether for uninterruptable power supply and data transmission to achieve large load, long endurance and high mobility, its hovering time can reach 18 hours, the light range can reach 8,000 square meters, and can resist 7 strong winds and withstand low temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius. It provides a wide range, high brightness, long time and uninterrupted lighting guarantee for the earthquake relief emergency rescue.

It is the bounden responsibility of the people's army to solve the emergency and worry for the people in the disaster area. The interests of the masses are no small matter, only do our best to use scientific and technological means to participate in disaster relief work, in order to maximize the safety of people's lives and property.

In this rescue operation, the team used a combination of tethered drone lighting and floodlight lighting, which not only lit up the night sky over the settlement site, but also illuminated the corners of the "tent village". A lamp, a beam of light, is not only a light sprinkled on the night, but also a hope in the hearts of the masses.

The relief operation is still going on, and the frontline officers and soldiers are still fighting. This type of mooring UAV has accumulated 28 hours of operation, and is affectionately called "the brightest star in the night sky" by the people in the disaster area.
